FYBS SERIES
FYBS Gyratory Screen
A rectangular screening arrangement for material classification and separation into defined fractions.
Equipment selection starts with your material, target separation and process conditions.
01
How the gyratory screening process works
The screen movement, screening path and selected decks work together to classify the feed. The project specification should distinguish the required movement and construction from other square-screen series.
02
Define the separation task
Discuss the sample and operating conditions before finalizing the configuration.
- Particle classification
- Multiple target fractions
- Material-specific screen selection
03
Define the grading duty
The FYBS enquiry should show required size fractions, feed distribution and the share of particles near each cut. A multi-outlet grading task needs a discharge diagram and a material balance. A nominal deck count alone does not identify how many usable product grades the proposed arrangement will deliver.
- Provide representative particle-size data for the feed.
- Mark fines, accepted product and oversize routes.
- Identify abrasive material and expected screen inspection frequency.
04
Resolve the series before comparing configurations
The legacy catalogue contains FYBS and FYB naming. Treat their relationship as a technical clarification, not proof of two different performance classes. Compare current drawings, motion, screen fixing and available configurations before choosing between these catalogue names.
- Request the current model designation and drawing reference.
- Confirm support and service clearances for the selected design.
- Use a same-material trial rather than borrowing another manufacturer’s capacity claim.
05
Use the FYBS area table for the quoted model
The archived FYBS table identifies effective screening area by model. It does not provide an interchangeable foundation drawing or a controlled comparison with FYB. Confirm the supplied drive, decks, outlets and access against the proposed arrangement.
CONFIGURATION REVIEW
Specify the machine for the task.
| Selection item | Information to confirm |
|---|---|
| Series and catalogue reference | FYBS Gyratory Screen; match the proposed model to the table below. |
| Separation and screen arrangement | Define accepted/rejected fractions, aperture units and the deck arrangement for this duty. |
| Contact parts and interfaces | Agree screen medium, contact components, seals, connections and access. |
| Output and acceptance | Use defined material and quality conditions; catalogue dimensions do not guarantee output for every feed. |
Final technical values, dimensions and performance conditions are confirmed against the proposed equipment and application.
