How the centrifugal sifting process works
A rotating assembly presents the material to a cylindrical screen. Product and oversize streams leave through separate outlets. Material behaviour and rotor/screen configuration must be matched.

Check whether the rotor arrangement suits the feed
The centrifugal sifter brings material into contact with a cylindrical screen using a rotor arrangement. Examine the expected lumps, fibres, hard particles and abrasive contaminants before selecting it. A request to disperse soft agglomerates is different from a request to grind hard particles.
- State the nature and approximate proportion of oversize.
- Identify whether product texture or particle integrity must be preserved.
- Ask how the rotor and screen are accessed for inspection.

Map connections and changeovers
Discuss the feed arrangement, discharge routing and space needed to remove the screen or rotor. Confirm whether the process is gravity-fed or connected to another handling system; an enclosed housing alone does not establish pneumatic or pressure compatibility.
- Include upstream equipment and its feed behaviour in the layout.
- Describe cleaning between products and acceptable retained material.
- Request the actual screen construction and replacement method in the quotation.
